The most typical childhood medical symptom is likely a runny nose. Every child occasionally experiences a runny nose, which is typically followed by sneezing. The vast majority of the time, a common cold is to blame. Although a runny nose can irritate a toddler and a blocked nose can bother a baby and make sucking difficult, neither symptom is likely to be an indication of a serious illness on its own.

Cold treatment for your child
There are various methods you can reduce your child’s discomfort while they have a cold. Make sure your child drinks lots of fluids, no matter their age (it does not matter what). Maintain a warm, humid environment in your child’s room as these aids in clearing a blocked nose. Ask your pharmacist about infant nose drops if your small child has trouble sucking. They can be used in advance of mealtimes. But you must be careful not to use them for longer than is necessary or to take more than the suggested dosage. An older child can be encouraged to inhale steam from a basin of hot water and ca be taught to blow his or her nose properly – one nostril at a time.
