The majority of people occasionally experience an unpleasant, scratchy, or raw feeling in their throat. This typically results from a mild illness or local irritant and goes away almost always in a matter of days.
CAUTION!
Fever and a severe sore throat
You cannot swallow any medication if your throat is really uncomfortable, particularly if you feel like something is blocking your throat. SPEAK WITH YOUR DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY!
WAYS TO GET RID OF A SORES THROAT
By often consuming cold beverages, you can lessen inflammation if you have a sore throat. Take acetaminophen or acetylsalicylic acid for pain relief and gargle with salt water. Do not consume alcohol or smoke. Avoid solid foods if your throat is extremely painful. There are a variety of over-the-counter throat lozenges and gargles that, while there is no scientific proof that they reduce inflammation, you may find them relaxing and they are unlikely to harm you.
