Infection is frequently to blame for a fever. If your baby’s forehead feels warm, if he or she is perspiring more frequently than normal, or if the child overall seems ill or agitated, you may be concerned that they have a fever. You can confirm your concerns by taking your baby’s temperature as instructed in the box across. 36 to 37.5 °C (97 to 99°F) is considered normal. If your infant is otherwise acting normally, minor variations within this range are nothing to worry about. If your baby’s fever increases, follow the questionnaire above.
